The Longest 24 Hours Ever

We began the day driving about 30 minutes to a library that was hosting a book exchange for homeschooling families. It was a complete bust. I brought 110 books, in hopes of coming home with at least 40-50 "new" books. We came home with 7. And those were 7 that we don't really need...just 7 that Peyton was somewhat interested in. Only one other family showed up to the exchange. However, we decided to make the best of it and explore the library for a bit. Once we left, the library was hosting a pet adoption presentation on its front lawn, so we stopped to check that out for a bit. Can we adopt a pet? Absolutely not. But I figured it would be good for Stewart and Peyton to understand how that works and why there's such a huge need for pets to be adopted. After this, we stopped at a produce market and the kids had a BLAST! Pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, and best of all...HONEY STICKS!!! We actually passed this produce market on the way to the library and I realized that neither of my kiddos had been to one before, so it immediately became a must-see for us.

We went home for a short time, then headed over to the Trunk or Treat at my husband's office.

Then we went to Walmart, then straight to Stewart's basketball practice. During his practice, his teammate's shoulder somehow made contact with Stewart's head, giving him yet another concussion.

Once we realized the headache wasn't going to subside, I took him to the Emergency Room. At midnight. And we didn't get home until 4:00am. And we had to get up at 6:00am to go out of town. Geez Louise!!!

Yes, he's playing with a toy for toddlers. But he'd never seen anything like it, so he had to see what those socks were about. ;)

This was around 3:45am. I was trying to wake him up so we could leave. He managed to get out of the bed, but not up before he fell asleep again.
